Chrissy's career started in Canada with graphic design and illustration, and art practice was important throughout childhood. Chrissy makes original art and runs community art projects and classes. Creation is for empowerment, a source of expansion, and a fire of transformation. She's also studied ecology and brings this devotion into her practice and themes. 

Being drawn to texture, light, sound and rhythm, experimentation is always on the go. Her poetry and art helps explore pathways to the essence of life. Poetry weaves its way to this discovery.

My art is my heaven, and I use this with presence
My art is my wisdom, and I love how it feels strong
It creates all this light, it's a cherry delight
When I see what's being made, then I feel less afraid
When I fashion a new form, it becomes a new home
So you see why I do it, this is something to choose dear
This is self expression here, that delights through the years
I choose all of this light to create a new sight
I choose pleasure in these things, as it fulfils all our dreams
This creation is here, to provide so much cheer
This creation gives youth, as it spells our truths
I work in silver and gold, so the stories are told
I work in kaleidoscope dreams to achieve all these means
I love textiles and glass and I love how it lasts
I love beads and illustration and I love to rearrange things
I've been creating since six and I love all these tricks
My work is about flow, and how the elements go
These are the elements in this story, and once you reach this, life's full of glory
